Issue Notice:
- Clematis smilacifolia was described and named by Nathaniel Wallich.
- Clematis smilacifolia is a species in the genus Clematis which contains approximately 434 to 526 species and belongs to the family of the Ranunculaceae (Buttercup Family). The type species of the genus is Clematis vitalba.
- The climbing plants are 4 to 6 meters high. Clematis smilacifolia is a decidious plant. The leaves are simple and arranged opposite. They are ovate, entire and pedicelled. Clematis smilacifolia produces panicles of nodding, purple campanulate flowers from November to December. The climbers make nutlets.
