Issue Notice:
- Souvenir Sheet 325 was issued in two different Version:
- Souvenir Sheet 325I with 3-digit Number
- Souvenir Sheet 325II with 4-digit Number "2505"
- Luang Pu Thuat was born on March 3, 1582 at Ban Suan Chan, Amphoe Satingphra, Songkhla. His birthname was Pu. The story goes that during his labor, a miracle of powerfully roaring thunderstruck there was as if to suggest that there came the birth of a new saint. Luang Pu Thuat became a revered Buddhist monk in Krung Sri Ayutthaya period. According to the belief of Luang Pu Thuat's followers, amulets created in his image hold a great protective power to the amulet owners. In addition, the commemorative postage stamp of Luang Pu Thuat in the shape of a traditional iron from Wat Chang Hai has been strongly desirable and sought-after.
