- A note on authenticity:
- One of the distinguishing features between a fake and a "genuine" Stamp is the fact that the original printing of the country name and the value level can be recognized by the backlight. In the case of counterfeiting, the overpressure of the principal is usually produced when the stamp is printed. (We do not want to reveal further detection possibilities here, in order to make it for counterfeiters not too easy).
- In the case of stamps with almost white rubber, the highest probability is that it could be a fake, since the rubber (the mixture and material) used at that time has to darken after 40 years, irrelevant in what proper storage! (Chemical processes). Only when stored on a black background, in the dark, air and moisture-protected, an originally white rubber could be retained.
