- Ganesh, the deity of knowledge, art and technology, which has been used by Silpakorn University as its symbol, due to being an institution of intelligence and wisdom imparting the study of art and technology in various aspects as mission of the university which had been founded in 1993 by Professor Silpa Bhirasri, the Italian artist and sculptor. Mr. Chalermchai Kositpipat, in this capacity as an alumnus of this university, has used his work of paintings and sculptures of the Hindu God Ganesh as the postage stamp design.
